Post Production

Post-production consists of editing the filmed images, along with other source materials such as logos, graphics, animations, photos, music, etc., to form a coherent whole that respects the ideas of the initial scenario. Urban Prod has two editing stations equipped with Final Cut Studio 2. We offer various services such as:
Video production in standard definition (SD) or high definition (HD). While Blu-ray (high definition DVD) still isn’t that widespread, some media players allow you to play HD video files on plasma screens on a loop. In addition, TV programmes are now broadcast in HD and you can upload HD video files onto websites such as Vimeo. HD has become available everywhere in recent years. HD format should therefore be considered as an option, even for small productions.
Voice-over recording: there are different ways to convey information in a video production (acting, titling, etc.) and voice-over is one solution. A voice-over recording in different languages also allows you to quickly reach a wider audience and increase the visibility of your video. To do so, we work with external specialist studios and professional voices.
Compositing: this consists of mixing different images together to create effects or presentations that make your film more professional. For instance: a strip with the name of the person being interviewed, the logo & background in the company colours, a graphic animation based on stills and animated titles for the opening credits, etc. You can choose from a whole range of possibilities.
3D animation: creation of 3D environments where we can bring images to life, carry out camera movements, integrate light and shade. These effects can be used for opening credits, closing credits, or even transitions.
Titling/Subtitling: rather than recording a voice-over in another language, it is also possible to subtitle the video. If the video is exported in the form of a DVD, the client will be able to access a menu in which he can choose the subtitle language.
Colour grading: : some images are recorded with different cameras, using different lights, and as a result, they aren’t always seamlessly integrated. We can correct and smooth out these differences thanks to colour grading. This technique can also be used to modify the perception of an image according to the desired effect (to create a warmer look for instance).
